Student Selection and Enrolment Information
For the benefit of our students class sizes are kept small to create a more personalised learning
environment.
Student selection is based on meeting pre-requisite conditions. A medical, nursing, certificate 4, or diploma in Beauty Therapy [or equivalent] is required. Without these qualifications a prospective student is required to study certain science units from the diploma in beauty therapy curiculum and produce a Statement of Attainment. Contact the Institute for further details if needed.
To enrol in the Course in Safety and Clinical Applications Using Intense Pulsed Light, fill in an enrolment form attaching copies of your qualifications, then fax or mail with a deposit of 50%, checking with us first that a place is available on the date you require. The final 50% will be required 7 days before the course starts. Once you have booked a place and paid a deposit, there will be no refund if you cancel. Changing the booking to another date will require a minimum of 3 weeks notice or risk losing the deposit.
To enrol in any other courses requires full payment to secure a place.
Refund Policy
Course fees shall not be refunded to the student under any circumstances unless;
- The course is cancelled by the Institute [without a new date offered]; or
- The commencement date is postponed by more than 6 weeks.
If booking numbers are low, the Institute has the right to re-schedule a course at any time, with a new date offered no later than 4 weeks away. There will be no refunds or reimbusements for any inconvenience caused by re-scheduling.
If a student has paid in part or full for course fees and withdraws from the course prior to commencement due to personal circumstances
beyond their control - a medical certificate is required. The Institute will then refund any payments except for an administration fee of $200.00, if the student cannot be reasonably re-booked for a course at a later date. A student wishing to withdrawer prior to course commencement date can however, give their place to a colleague as long as this new person meets the Institute's pre-requisite conditions. Warning of a change in booking name needs to be given to the Institute in advance. Student’s who have left the course without a valid medical reason and doctor’s
certificate will be liable for remainder of course fees owing. In the event of a course being cancelled totally without a new date offered, the student will be issued with
a full refund of any fees paid to the Institute. Unless by special arrangement, the institute will not accept payments for any course more
the 10 week in advance.
